This place is the result of an idea by chef Michael Beltrán, who set out to extend in Coconut Grove the presence of the flavour of the island’s food combined with American flavour, in a space that started as a small café and has become one of the most prestigious restaurants in Miami.
The dishes served at Chug’s Cuban restaurant can be enjoyed at any time of the day in a family atmosphere. As well as breakfast or brunch, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or even just a snack. There is something for everyone.
What does Chug’s Diner Menu have?

Chug’s Cuban Diner has a menu that is typical of this type of establishment, so let’s take a look!
Breakfast
Chug’s Diner menu has two breakfast menus. One that is served all day long and another one that is served during restricted hours.
- Breakfast from 8:00 am – 11:00 am:
Quiche: Chiche is an egg omelette that is poured into a dough mould. Chug’s Diner recipe features ripe, caramelized onions and vegetables.
Picadillo de lechón: a popular dish in Cuba served with onion mojo and fried egg.
Avocado sandwich: Sandwiches are very popular all over the world, especially in the United States. They are eaten all day long. Chug’s Diner offers the avocado, Swiss cheese and white bread presentation in this breakfast option.
- Breakfast all day:
Blintz: crepes filled or covered with cream cheese, icing sugar and jam.
La completa: this dish consists of three eggs, potatoes and toast. You can add ham, smoked salmon, avocado and bacon.
Pancakes: The secret of Chug’s Diner Miami is to cook the pancakes in a cast iron skillet over very low heat. When they are ready, they are spread with clarified butter and warm maple syrup.
Salmon toast: On top of the toast is a dollop of cream cheese, capers, red onion, chips and smoked salmon – a real treat!
- Brunch:
Served on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Includes all Chug’s Diner breakfast menu items plus salads, burgers, steak buns, croquettes, fries, white rice and black beans, desserts, cocktails, wine and beer.
- Lunch-Dinner:
If you want to have lunch or dinner at Chug’s Diner Miami, the range of dishes is quite wide. For snacks they offer broccoli and cheese from Phyllis and loaded with cassava tots. As cold dishes the Cuban restaurant serves egg salad and chicken salad.
The menu shows more variety and more elaborate dishes such as chicken milanesa, shrimp enchilados, Cuban ribs, escabeche de pargo, Cuban grilled cheese, among others.
Pastelitos Papi has a space at Chug’s Diner Miami
Chug’s Cuban restaurant offers a variety of pastries with a rich puff pastry dough and fillings that explode with flavour, thanks to the creations of Pastelitos Papi.
Pastelitos Papi is an initiative of chef Gio Fesser who in alliance with Michael Beltrán (Chug) has been revolutionising the world of pastries, specifically in terms of pastelitos.
The puff pastry dough is fused with the flavour of ropa vieja, fried cow, fiery tail and chicken, as part of his savoury creations. And in the sweet ones, the experience of tasting a bite will be unique. Cheese meets guava jam, mango meets cheese, and apple pie meets puff pastry.
