Who said the dream job doesn’t exist? Especially those of us behind this blog know that it does. Or doesn’t combing the city in search of good restaurants, tasting delicious food and writing it all down sound like a pretty good deal? But, as our beloved Spiderman has said, “with great power comes great responsibility”, and it’s true, what we do on a daily basis is also challenging. Not always diners agree with us, and sometimes words don’t seem to be enough to tell what we live tasting delicacies. Let’s do the test today in our mini list “Best restaurants in Miami FL 33153”.
We have said it many times. Miami is a gastronomic epicenter within the United States, its multiculturalism is a fortune for those of us who consider ourselves foodies, and going out to try something new every day is literally possible.
With this list we want to add some new places to our top. We hope you agree with us. We look forward to hearing from you. Is your favorite restaurant here? Don’t you know them yet? Would you like to visit them? Let’s see.
3 Best Restaurants in Miami FL 33153: we are still looking for Miami’s gastronomic holy grail
As we were saying, writing about food and restaurants is perfectly a dream job. Mixing the passion for good flavors with the passion for writing and telling stories is like mixing bread with butter or chocolate with chocolate: perfect marriage, eternal love.
Today’s list “Best restaurants in Miami FL 33153” has given us a lot of work because there is so much to choose from, but the mission was accomplished, here are our picks.
1.- Pura vida
We are talking about a chain where good food is mixed with wellness. Because who said that healthy can’t go in the same direction as delicious? Here you can find colorful and yummy salads, satiating bowls, refreshing and exquisite natural juices, and in short, a whole variety of food made with a conscience.
The philosophy of this place has four pillars: fresh, simple, sustainable and local, and they fulfill them to perfection, it shows.
We love its relaxed atmosphere and its eagerness to show how important it is to eat well to live well. Of course, here you will find a variety of vegan and gluten-free options.
What do we recommend eating here?
We love the oven-roasted salmon (with onion and pepper mix, sesame, soy and ginger + choice of base, house salad with arugula, kale, fennel, tomato, bell bell pepper, red onion, sunflower seeds and lemon vinaigrette). We also recommend the pesto tuna wrap ( wild ahi tuna, cilantro rice, avocado, spinach, carrot, pesto, mozzarella).
2.- Chifa Du Kang
At Chifa Du Kang we specialize in Chinese-Peruvian gastronomic fusion. Have you ever heard about chifa food? It’s Peru’s best kept culinary secret that we have set out to reveal throughout the United States, starting with our two locations in Miami, on Kendall Drive and Bird Road.
Chifa food has powerful flavors and aromas. For example, the blend of something as Chinese as soy sauce and something as Peruvian as aji panca, is unbeatable. We give thanks to the cultural encounter of our two countries for these dishes that are part of the heritage of humanity.
At Chifa Du Kang we serve 7 versions of arroz chaufa (Peruvian-style Chinese fried rice), lomo saltado, chijaukay chicken, tipakay chicken, shrimp with cashew, noodles and more. If you’ve never heard of these dishes you’re missing out on a lot, but we can help you fill that gastronomic gap.
What do we recommend eating here?
The authors of Chicken Soup for the Soul obviously had not tasted wantan soup when they wrote their book, otherwise the title would have been different. The wantan soup (Chicken and Pork wonton soup) we make at Chifa Du Kang raises the dead. It is delicious and has everything. We recommend it so you can discover what chifa love tastes like.
3.- Sins Gastrobar
Here we are talking about another type of experience. Our third place in the list Best Restaurants in Miami FL 33153 is a place to enjoy delicious food but also a good drink in good company. This is a festive place, here we go to eat and have fun.
On Fridays there is live music and the place is open until 2:00 am.
Its menu is extensive and international, on weekends they offer a copious brunch with all kinds of dishes, and every day there is happy hour from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with very tempting cocktails.
What do we recommend eating here?
On the lunch menu, the Signature Style Tostadas (Romaine lettuce, black beans, steak or chicken, Pico de Gallo, and our specialty sauces) stand out. For dinner we are obsessed with the grilled octopus. And for cocktails (yes, we also tried cocktails, you can see it’s a dream job), we loved the Vacation Mood (Mur Mur Coconut Rum and fresh muddled pineapple finished with a toasted coconut and cinnamon rim served in a martini glass).
